Default Royal Gramma and Blue-green Chromis

The Royal Gramma and Blue-green Chromis are perfect for newbies. They are inexpensive, hardy, and colorful to boot.

green chromis do best in a group of at least 4. I currently have 4 and soon will be adding some more.

Default chromis and royal rgamma

Woody,
I agree
They are wonderful fish, but not to confuse the royal gramma with the royal dottyback, the latter being extremely aggressive. The blue green chromis seem a little wirey and jittery but are very peaceful toward tank mates. They are fun to feed as they are hungry 3x/day.
Love those fishies, c-c

I like the royal gramma too, the colors are very bright and bold, its such a shy/calm fish.

Very pretty and a great addition to the reef

I have the gramma/chromis thing going on. They do work well together. And, yes, the chromis are very hungry. All of their tank mates had to learn how to be aggressive feeders, as well.

Blue/greens aren't much to look at though. Just found a black & gold stripe chromis for the wife's cube - great looking fish.

Will the other chromis varieties school with the green chromis also? Or are you better off to stick with one or the other. For instance can you get a one purple, and one black and gold chromis to add in with a small school of greens?

I went to my LFS a week ago and i wanted to get atleast 3 green chromis.... but they only had 2 in a tank with a whole bunch of other damsels.... so i got the 2 and they seem to be doing very well with one another.....will they continue to do well or since theres only 2 will they fight?
