I am no pro by far, but have been using a product called Melafix and Pimafix for my blue Tang. It was very very sick and is coming around since medicating. This product is reef safe so can be added to display tank. Product can be found at MarineDepot.com.

I learned to really look closely at behavior and sort of a fat belly before buying a yellow tang. I have lost more of these guy's (when I had my saltwater tank) then I care to remember. I had three that lived for several year's, they were the one's with the fat belly. I would like to know how bright is you'r tank, without proper lighting, these guy's will get a big brown spot more or less in the lower, center part of there body.

i also have been using melafix for a while and it is great, also try mixazin if you are unsure of what the exact problem is because it treat just about everything, and is safe for inverts. While we are at it can anyone help me with bacterial problems.

Default Mixing Meds!

Kent RX P and Melafix also work well together! Impressed with how inverts reacted.

Normal dosage but watch to see your reaction could start RX P at half the Dosage that product needs to be watched more for negative reaction!
