Default Ick Problem, DANGER - I've been thinking

My Kole tang has been demonstrating signs of Ick. He is difficult, if not impossible to catch. I have set up a QT tank that has not been cycled as of yet, set it up yesterday, barn door securely locked, horse nowhere to be found...
After much research I cannot find enough proven information to make me believe there is a safe chemical Ick treatment that will not damage my corals.
I only have a few corals...
1 - Trumpet Frag
1 - Bubble Frag
1 - Well established Purple Mushroom
1 - Well Established Colt Coral
1 - Well Established Conjoined Mushroom

I also have a Sebae Anemone

What if I out the coral in my QT tank and treat my show tank for Ick?
Any thoughts?

All these corals are still only on their mount and easily removed

Problem here would be with the chemical treatment getting into your sand and rock. IE. Copper, and it would never come out. Also need to think about snails, hermits, etc.

The only two proven methods that is guaranteed to cure ick is copper and hyposalinity. Either method need to do done without the presence of inverts, LR, LS, pods, etc... since it will kill everything in the rock and, if copper is used, destroy the rock.

agree just try to feed. Let it run its course you trying to catch the fish is going to stress it out even more.Just give it time . That is what worked foe me at least good luck

I have not medicated a tank in a long time, found out that things can work themselves out. I would try to lower the temp down less than 80, and the salt, well you cannot really go too low with it on account of the corals. be patient, he may pull out of it, my purple tang had some spots, was not gonna risk it all for one fish, he is great now, so hang in there, keep an eye on your other inmates.

Relieving the "symptoms" of ich and "eradicating" ich are 2 entirely different subjects.
