| Many fish can go through a color change when they are stressed or sleeping. If you look at your fish right when the lights turn on they may seem bland in color for a while. My Yellow Tang would turn pale and have darker blotches on its sides (almost brown) whenever the lights were out and it was sleeping in the rocks. A few minutes after lights on and swimming around, he would be back to his bright yellow color. I wonder if something similar was happening to your chromis or if it was stressed for some reason. |
