They are not disease proof.
They may be a bit more resilient but that is about it. Might not fare too well under a treatment regimen in a hospital tank environment.

I hope you do not mind, I am crashing your thread a bit.

Yea he began to eat a little bit before I took him back, I think it also could have been that he was feeling insecure from getting seperated from his anemone.

When I was at the fish store I couldn't pass up the mated pair of picassos so I bit the $170 bullet and got them.

I was afraid of that about the scooter. He just recently survived one QTing but he was very skinny at the end despite the fact that he does eat a little bit when I am feeding frozen foods..

You are getting good advice here. It is a real PITA to figure out what to do when this kind of thing happens. You almost feel damned if you do, and damned if you don't. I would suggest leaving the dragonet where it is for now. Focus on everything else that needs to be moved.

Ya, he will more than likely be the last to be moved if this is Ich (again), he was one of the most difficult to catch when I had to do it last time.

Still to early to tell, some spots have dissapeared some haven't and I can't tell if they are Ich or not. Still waiting to get a clearer read.

Peace, Poppinthekap

This morning it was quite obvious that the purple tang DID have Ich again.

So I moved my flame angel and 2 cardinalfish to the 10 gallon tank and set up a trap in my DT for my purple tang.

First the powder brown tang and sailfin tang went into the trap together so I tossed them into the QT. Then after several hours, the purple tang took the bait. I gave him a 2 minute and 30 second freshwater dip and added him to the 20 gallon with tho other 2 tangs.

I was just going to wait to see if there are signs of ich in the DT, is this the right thing to do or do I need to try and get the rest of the fish out as well?

It should be noted that I purchased another 20 gallon long tank today, which I can easily assemble incase I do see Ich again in my DT

What do you guys think?

Peace, Poppinthekap

I saw Ich on the Blue Regal Tang who was in the DT.

Thankfully, he wasn't as hard a catch as I had anticipated, and he is now acclimating to the Tang QT tank, and once he is in, I will start lowering the salinity to hypo again.

Now, in the DT I still have 2 cleaner gobies, 2 sand sifting gobies, 2 picasso clowns, and 1 scooter blenny who will all go into the 20 gallon QT tank that is empty right now if I take them out. I guess I should take them out right?

Okay more updates!

Now, as of May 18th, I have taken all the fish out of the DT (again) and they are spread amongst 3 QT tanks. In the 10 gallon QT: Flame Angel and Banggai Cardinal. In the 1st 20 gallon long QT: Purple Tang, Hippo Tang, Powder Brown Tang, Sailfin Tang. In the 2nd 20 gallon long QT: 2 Picasso Clowns, 2 Sand Sifting Gobies, 2 Cleaner Gobies, 1 Scooter Blenny.

Unfortunately between the night of May 18th and the morning of May 19th one of the paired Sand Gobies jumped out of the tank only for me to find that morning, already dead Very tragic.

Anyway, as of now, the 10 gallon QT tank has been at 1.009 for 2 weeks and the tang tank has been at 1.009 since yesterday (the 20th). The 2nd 20 gallon QT is at 1.014 SG.

Peace, Poppinthekap
