Default pop eye

I bought a coral beauty angel yesterday, i did not notice one eye slightly glazed and popped out a bit. When i got home i saw it and called the reef store> they said it was due to stress and would clear after a few days. Is this true? I have searched online a most people refer to a disease or illness that may not get better?
Thoughts on treatment?

Check out this article, it has answers to your questions and some possible treatment if the infection is caught at an early enough state..:Fish Pop-Eye

I'm going to have to call your LFS out on this one though, it is not caused by stress. Infections, injury and water quality are the most common problems, as you will probably read about in the article. Before you decide to go with treatment or not to, I would contact your LFS where you purchased the Coral Beauty from and ask if they have a return, refund or store credit policy for sick or passed fish.

Trust RB over LFS!

Thanks for the info. i have found RB to be a great resource as i have only been into this for about 4 months. My 55 gallon is a passion now. One question, the eye does look slightly better at this point but he is in my community tank, should i pull him and put him in a quaratine tank or just add epsom salt to the filter of the big tank to make sure no other fish have a problem

Yes, this forum is a great reference for any aquarist looking to get honest accurate answers. You will want to quarantine the affected fish by itself and begin treatment. The Epsom salt contains Magnesium Sulfate, which should not be introduced into the display or any filtration media as it could effect water parameters, inverts and/or corals. Hyposalinity along with the use of Epsom salts can sometimes cure the problem.. Do make sure you are acclimating the fish long enough before placing into the QT to get used to the change in Alkalinity..
