Default little white parasitic worm

New day, new issues.
My royal gramma has just gotten out of the hospital tank for ich...or what I thought was ich. Now I see it better. The bumps came back in the same place...but they were bumps with nodules. Then I saw my son's firefish with a bump, but once it swam closer to the window, I noticed it wasn't much of a bump, but a tiny (about a millimeter) stringy white worm. I am so tired of pests. My husband's fish are taking up the hospital tank for the next month while he reduces the recurrence of parasitic invasions in his tank and my son's fish will not fit in there, nor do I think it will help anyway. Looks like the parasite can handle copper treatment. Any ideas out there? I have a 20 gal with a royal gramma, a firefish, 2 chromis, a CBS, a featherduster and assorted hermit crabs.
