Default Foxface Lo is acting funny...

Hey all, just added a medium sized foxface to my tank yesterday and he seems to be acting strange. I acclimated him for about 45 minutes with the lights out in the tank and he started to change color over a period of a few hours. After the color change he just seems to stay in one spot and just suspend himself by the filter intakes or the heater. Is there anything wrong or is he still getting used to the tank? I also have a snow flake eel in the tank and he has been doing fine over the last few weeks. Water quality is good temp is at about 77 degrees and i keep up with my maintenance. Any ideas as to whats wrong?

This is normal Behavior. These fish have great personality! they kind of camouflage them selves in the night time so they are less seen by others. When they wake up they return to their vibrant yellow color. He may do this when ever he is spooked as well.

I appreciate the info. After studying him for a few minutes I realized that he changes color and puts his spines up as almost like a defense mechanism. I didnt know at first, but I would rather be safe than sorry!

Be very careful when your hands are in the tank. His spines are venomous and you could get very sick if stung by them! I got Stung recently and was sick for a day. all my research says rinse with hot water and go to the hospital!
