Default Dying inverts, NEED HELP!

One of my snail was so slow that end up dying the other day, then I added a peppermint shrimp which last 4 days could not even find it, I though could be the bad acclimation who knows. Last week I added a cleaner shrimp and a white crab, they were fine for 4 days the shrimp died in the 4th day and the crab was dead 7 days from bought it.
I changed some of my water and tested everything looks good. My mushrooms are shrinking, that I thing is my lighting, but what about the shrimps and crab and snail? My other snail is fine and my scarlet and blue leg crabs are fine too.
I need help I am afraid to loose more.

The same thing was happening with me. Took my water to the lfs and had it checked; all of the tests at home were perfect; the pH level at the fish store was 6.8 (EEEK!). My test kit was bad. You might want to have the lfs check your parameters for you?? Hope it gets better

Try salifert.
Do not add anything else until you get this sorted out.
Once you get the tests, please post the results so that we can help you further!

And while I am thinking about it, how long has your tank been up and running?

Are you sure the crab & shrimp died & didn't molt? Moving to a new tank could have stressed them causing the molt. Snail may have been attacked by crabs - wouldn't be the 1st time that has happened. Where do you have your mushroom positioned in the tank? If near the lights, move them lower in the tank - they open up more with less light.

how often to you do water changes. if your not doing them often enough then you could be low on iodine. inverts shed their shell or molt, and if the iodine isnt at the right level, it is harder for them to molt. proper iodine will also help mushrooms, but as said earlier they can live on basic spectrum lighting. i would add coral-vite, coral accel, and EE (esential elements) to your tank as recomended. if your not using these get them right away. they are all made by kent, and coral accel is really good for your softies. feed that daily depending on stock!! also check you pH and SG. pH is huge and should be checked daily if you could. it helps bying a refractometer. its a digital reader and is accurate. this makes life easy. also SG is another important level to check. if you lost a lot of water then it will be to high. if its too loo then your corals could be suffering for this reason. a lot of things to check and post all the info. the more the better. we need every number that you read on your test kitsl. API master test kit has always worked well for me also

I am tempted to say, don't mess with the additives just yet. On a good day, I believe that the water changes are good for the replenishment of iodine (get a test kit and see where your level is as a guage). I have EE, but I think between that and my salt mix, I have elevated my calcium. I'd do the water testing see if there is anything is lacking and proceed slowly but surely from there.

Just an update, I tested the water and looked like I need some more Ca so I did some water change. But I added the water to my quaratine tank, Is that a good Idea? I also noticced that my other snail are happier, but the mushrooms are still shriveled up even though I moved them to the bottom of the tank. take a look what else can I do

Uh, here's what you should do... stand still when taking a pic. J/K. What sort of lights are you running in the tank, how long have you had the shrooms, and what were the light conditions where you got them from. I run about 3 wpg but mine seem to do better at a lower level in the tank. Even though they were under halide. Might have to be patient to find that happy spot. Give it some time.

As far as the inverts go, what was the result of your water tests? Do you mean you added the water to the sump instead of the main tank? The qt and main should not be connected. Treat them as two seperate tanks. This means dift water changes and all.

To add calcium you don't need to do a water change...simply add it.

No. Copper is dangerous to all corals and inverts...blind no offense and don't take this personally but please try not to suggest something that's false.

Test before hand though before adding calcium and test again 24hrs after adding it. Follow the same route if you plan to add more.

ALWAYS test for what your dosing ! No excepetions !
