Default I did a water change and my fish are dying

I recently changed out a third of the water out of my tank and my fish are dying what do i do?Did I do something wrong?Are the rest of my fish going to die???I need help immediately??

Did the new water match the tank water as far as temperature & salinity go?

How long before the water change did you mix the water? Did the pH of the 2 match as well?

You should mix the water a day before adding it to the tank. It may not have completely dissolved. It takes a bit for everything to stabilize. Was it tap water ot RO/DI?
