Default WANTED: Show me pics of your sick fish

I'd like to start a thread on common fish diseases. Instead of yanking photos from elsewhere, I would like to see members contribute. Just looking at the threads in this forum, I can tell we have enough disease to go around. I am hoping that this will help people ID their illnesses and get suggestions on treatment quicker.

Please include your diagnosis of you swimming friend's ailment and how you treated. I am hoping to make this a very comprehensive thread and all help is appreciated!

Pnuemonia. Did that fish have a short bout of bronchitis before it hit?

I would have guessed hypothermia.

What happend to this fish is a story we have all heard many times and at the risk of making myself look dumb here is the story.

The second fish ever bought along with a 1-1/2" Maxima. Tank 2 months old. Did not QT either of these EVEN THOUGH I HAD A QT SET UP!!! Hawk fish was belly up the next am and the clam (paid $100, yeah ripped of by the LFS) lasted I think it was 6 days before it shriveled up and died. I was like a lot of people out there bought on impulse and didnt QT. The cost was $150 in one shot for not researching the critters, not waiting for my tank to catch up to my desires and possibly not using a QT.

Sorry Becky if this post strays from the pics of sic critters but its along the same lines. I hope this doesnt ruin Beckys thread with a bunch of us just yacking about sick animals. That was not the purpose for the thread. Becky, go ahead and remove this post if it jeprodises your intentions for your thread.

well, I dotn have pics of my own, so i stole some from google.

I used maracyn to cure the problem.

I got home from my grandparents house one weekend, and went to check on my tnak, and notices my clown had a bug bulged out eye.

I went to my lfs and asked them waht to get, and they told my maracyn. Took about 2-3 days, and the eye went back to normal. that was about 1.5 years ago, and the clown is doing fine to this day.
