if your tank is just over a month old and you've had several fish die already, perhaps your tank has never cycled yet; that is why your fish are dying. no ammonia--get new fish-- new fish breathes and defecates--ammonia with not enough bacteria population to convert to nitrite and nitrate--fish die. just a thought---consider letting your tank sit for a bit and feed your tank with leftover fish food to help propagate enough bacteria. You should see some test results too. good luck.

What is in your tank for cycling. Live rock, dead shrimp. Did you do the water test before the fish died or ofter the water change. If it is after the fish died, then I would have to agree taht it was an ammonia spike and the tank is not fully cycled.

Just something to think about......Read my thread, "I NEED HELP" I just went thru the same thing.....What is your water source? I was using city water and recently found that my city is using 3ppm chlorine and I am sure that was my problem. I might be way off track but I wanted to put it out there.

I dont use city water, i buy RO water from the LPS. I think It might have just been a spike like the last person said since it is a young tank. But thanks to all of you guys for trying to help me.
