Default Wal mart puffer has tiny spot

there is a very thin white bump. it look more like a bit of skin more then ick. I might have caught it so early it's just small ick spot. None of my fish have had it but i've bought and treated 3 or 4 with it. Does it start tiny like that? I have the following; Quick Cure for ick and Melafix for the cut. Can u mix the 2? I've only seen ick much much bigger or and more then 1 spot also. is it pos. that it was a wound that has healed ? theres a mark through it. Like a scar. They swim so actively that it's very hard to see.

It sounds more like an attack than ich. If you are using MelaFix stick with it, do not make a cocktail.

what started as 2 small bumps have connected to each other and the white bump is in the middle of the raised area. he has marks along the area and it is very puffy. and he is just now starting to scratch or flash what ever u want to call it. If I can mix the 2 I would feel better just in case it's a wound from his time at wal- mart. i will wait untill i know if I can mix so please let me know. thanks

do you ahve any cleaner fish or shrimp? as long as the puffer is small enough, something like a cleaner shrimp or a neon cleaner goby would be extremely beneficial.

the puffer is about 2 inches. i did get a cleaner shrimp today, though. This thing take out 30 snails a min. so he's prob. too big. he is a lot better. the spots are gone and he has curled up and turned gray only once in the last 2 days. he listed his lips and his teeth are overgrown but i'm on that. he has been in pet stores too long. We are doing everything to help him beat the odds and it seems to be working. Thanks. The lumps change a little so that might be how his sides stretch.

they have star fish at yours? I hope they take better care then ours. I have 4 supercenters to goto and all but 1 just lost the right to care for fish. The puffer is doing great. he is very active and takes out huge amounts of snail in less then 1 min. i think he will ,now ,get to have a happier life. Is there some thing to make it where my wal- mart can't sell them? They aren't in the right water or taken care of properly.

Thats what I am saying, Mine has a bad/poor setup of freshwater. I couldnt picture a wally world employee making fish with other fish choices, Other than a fish guide for dummies chart posted on the wall, sad to say some actual LFS have ppl that have no bussiness being in the saltwater section
