Default Tail rot?

My clown has absolutely no tail left. I think it was my Damsel picking at it because it disappeared pretty much over night. Is the the act of an over agressive Damsel or is it Tail rot? Will post a pic when I find my digital camera. Just set up my QT tank. And he will be placed in there. Will the tail grow back if left alone and how long will it take?

Nipped fins will grow back, the nipping would need to stop.

Tail rot doesnt come on as fast and normally leads to death, almost all fish that loose there tail for whatever reason die..

vitamins help

It a Blue Devil Damsel I believe. He is imposible to catch. I think it is time to get rid of him. This is the second fish he killed. Any takers. He may be better in a larger tank but I only have a 14 gallon right now. Looking to go to 55 gallon after X-Mas. Here is a pic of my damsel.

I have many damsels they only work in large tanks, I'm sure he will rip apart anything you put in that small tank, dont even get them with your 55g chromis do just fine....
