Default Please Help!

I have a yellow tang and a week ago i observed a few very tiny black spots on him toward the back fin. He has now managed to have many more of these small black dots! I think this could be a case of black ich! will you please help me with diagnosis and treatment! thank you!

Sounds like black ich. Can you provide a picture? Diagnosis is hard without a photo.

Without seeing a pic, we can't verify that it is black ich, but it does sound like black ich. Luckily, black ich isn't nearly as dangerous and easier to treat that white ich. I have treated it in the past by giving the fish a freshwater bath for 5 minutes and it has always worked for getting rid of it. Because of the black ich life cycle, you may need to do a few baths 3 days apart.
