| With many tangs, if it is a green algae, they will eat it. Chaeto probably isn't as nutritious as other green algaes, but it is better than nothing.

It can happen but Nori much better. You can mix it in the diet to reduce the nori cost. If he is under fead then food is food. You didnt mention but do you feef meaty foods also?

i feed them pellets, brine shrimp daily. now that i got spectrum i'll be adding that into their diet. i tried nori and i had no luck so far with the scopas and yellow tang. haven't tried with the sailfin yet

Tangs need a well balanced diet. You need to get some nori. Its green shetts of algea. Then good flake and brine and cyclops. Pellets ok but dont use much and see if its even eatin. Use 4 to 6 types of food for a well balance. Then feeding more often less amounts helps.

It may be a good idea to rubberband the nori to a rock and drop it into the tank. It is more noticed by the fish that way. Leave it in there for a few hours and I have to believe the scopas and yellow tang will eat it. I use nori so often in my tank that even my non tangs (orbic batfish, yellow/black damsel, gold stripe clownfish) all eat the nori.
