Default scavengers fish

hey,
i'm hoping to search your fish knowledge for some fish that will spend all day rummaging through the sand and various objects around the tank for foods. my problem is, although there is a medium quantity of fish, for some reason as soon as the food hits the ground it sits there, no-fish searches for it, this leads to buildup. tank is 45 gallons, and the fish cannot be too small as the fuzzy dwarf will get em.

change your water flow to suspend the food longer. hermit crabs are a great cleanup crew. My starfish takes care of any food that hits the bottom

Hermit crabs and brittle stars are great scavengers...just don't treat your fish only tank with copper.
