| I have a royal gramma and when I first put him in my tank he did the same thing yours did always hiding in the rocks. I bought some flake food and started putting that in my tank and now when i get home this guy is waiting for me to feed him. He still hides in the rocks alot but he has gotten better with showing himself alot more, so just give it some time and hopefully your fish will come around. |

| With fish like that, when you get them to eat, you need to do it that exact way everytime. It might work to just stand in front of your tank for about 30 minutes and let the fish get used to you being there. Then when the fish seems like he will come out, put about 1/2 the portiion of food you normally put in, into the tank. when the fish smells it or sees it, and he looks like he'll come out, put the other 1/2 of the food in. Thats what I did and it worked very well with my engineer goby. Now I am able to pick him up, and he'll swim between my fingers. Its REALLY neat!
