Default Yellowhead Moray

Does anyone have any experience with a Yellow Head Moray? I'm thinking of purchasing a small 6-8 inch. I do have experience with Snowflake and Zebra Morays.

Just curious, what is there diet. I had a zebra eel for several year's, his diet consisted of mostly shrimp. I do not know anything about the eel you are wanting to purchase, do a lil homework before you invest ( just my opinion )

When you say yellow headed moray are you talking about Gymnothorax fimbriatus? I've seen this eel called a cheetah moray, yellow headed moray, golden headed moray, and fimbriated moray (fimbriated moray being the most common). This is an aggressive species, eating pretty much anything that will fit in it's mouth. They can also grow up to three feet long, so be sure your aquarium is large enough.

I have an adult Gymnothorax fimbriatus and I love it, but it WILL EAT ANYTHING so if it will have small tankmates don't get one. Mine is in with two Chiloscyllium plagiosum (cat sharks) and a large grouper, they're all very happy and so am I!!
