a suggestion would be to do research before you buy ANYTHING!!!!

you shouldnt have bought that fish unless you knew all there is to know about it.

but since you did buy it, go to Aquarium Fish: Tropical Freshwater Fish and Saltwater Fish for Home Aquariums and check out the compatability chart.

that is why you need to research the fish before you get them.

my friend baught a puffer because he heard that they are fine with a lot of fish. he also had a maroon clown that was abou 3-4" and the puffer was about 6-7". well he heard they were compatable but diidnt do research and he WATCHED his puffer eat the clown!

the puffer also goes after his snowflake eel.

basically, he didnt research anyhting, now he is regreting it.

That was one mean puffer Fish to eat that Clown,I have a Huma Trigger with a Blue Line Grouper.I have several Tanks with Trigger and Grouper mixes. In my Experiences Humas generally get along with Niger Triggers and most Groupers and Snowflake Eels.I have rarely seen a problem with Huma Triggers with Groupers or Niger Triggers.Keep in mind that some Humas can be agressive sometimes.Good luck

I have a humu trigger, porcupine puffer, and a brown dwarf lion all in the same 50 gal. tank. There all doing good together. I just made sure that there all around the same size so they don't bother each other.

it would be wise to only put aggressive fish in with it. and those fish should be at least 2 inches so their not picked on. i have live reef and live bottom in with it. humu's are known to munch on live coral but mine doesn't do it enough to be a problem.

had a huma with 2 clowns, a blue tang, a yellow tang, 2 chromis, a foxface, a red firefish… and he seem to be doing good until I got a cleaner wrasses he got pissed and decided he wanted to attack everything in the tank so I took him out…. He kept chasing my black & white occellaris and he wasn’t cheap…… but u should be able to keep him with any fish his size… their beautiful if you go to the TOTM thread I posted a pic of mine before I took him out

I had a Huma Huma that was awesome for about 18 months or so with a lion, dog face puffer, porcupine puffer, flame angel & snowflake eel.

Fish are like people some personalities click and some do not even thought the should...

Good luck

finding nemo and jgo1973 do you still have your humu's? they have alot of emotions and personality. you never know what their going to do or how they will act. i decided i wanted aggressive fish, so i just set up this tank a few months ago. it's best to put the humu in the tank last, helping it to not get all crazy like that. but i got too excited about getting mine. i put my lion and puffer in first. waited a week then put in the humu. waited a week then i just put in a foxface. my humu was the fish i wanted the most for this tank. so i'm trying to be really cautious of what fish i'm putting in with it. so far they are all getting along. i hope it stays that way LOL. i really wanted a seahorse and a pipefish in this tank but that would be really stupid LOL. i want to get a few more fish for this tank. i'm thinking about taking a chance on a clown. the lion might not like that but as long as its a big one. and maybe a tang and a large angel.

My Huma is being placed with nice family tomorrow. I do love him but he also went crazy on me. My tank was once a fowlr, but I am in the process of making it a peacful reef tank since the passing of Lord Kale. (My Lion). Kaluha (the Huma) has been in the 150 gallon the longest and he is not adjusting to the changes well. He is even trying to attack me...hmmm!
