Default Lion feeding

So I guess I got lucky and got a russel lion that likes frozen food. With the exception of the first 3 days of acclimation, he's been eating frozen prawns 3 times a week without fuss. Am I understanding correctly that I can just go to the grocery store and pick up shrimp or any marine fish and freeze it for future feeding? It would be much cheaper, but I'm not sure if it's ok. Also, should I supplement the fish? I've read about a garlic soak but it's mainly an attractant right? Or is there some nutritional value it adds? Thanks.

Default Re: Lion feeding

I buy scallops and freeze them for my lion, snowflake, urchins and they all love them and a large scallop goes a long ways for feeding. As far as the garlic soak i am not sure.
