Default Puffer Loss of Appetite

My puffer has recently lost his appetite. He used to eat fine. He's a baby. Not sure how old, as he came from a reef. Every other day I feed him Krill. He used to eat a couple, maybe more. Now, he'll maybe eat one or a little more if I'm lucky. Since he hasn't been eating much, I've taken to putting Brine Shrimp cubes in the tank on days I'm not feeding him to make sure he's getting something. He loves them. I'm not sure what to do. What do I do?? Why isn't he eating the Krill?

puffers won't tolerate high nitrates if you are feeding him every day and wasting food in the tank they will be high, check them this will cause them to slow in there eating because of the stress they are in

I have a dog face puffer that loves prawn. Every morning and night I thaw out the prawn and put it on the end of a small wooden skewer. He picks it right off, and there is nothing extra floating in my tank. I keep their appetites going by putting 6 drops of kents liquid garlic in my 55 gal tank every AM.

try this... dont feed him for a whole day and then tommorow put a little bit of whatever your feeding him in the tank if he jumps towards it give him a little more if he keeps eating give him a little more etc. untill he doesnt want anymore... puffers do not need to be fed absolutely everyday and if its everyday feed them once a day and not too much you dont want to put unnecisary amounts of uneaten food in the tank tell me if it works!
