Hey everyone,
I have decided that I really want some aggresive fish that just won't work in my 90 gallon reef. So here we go with the new build.

I think I am going to go with a

125 gallon glass tank
ASMg3 skimmer
Mag Drive 18 return pump
250 watt heater
200 pounds of live rock
120 pounds of sand
The lights are T-6 lights which are just slightly larger than T-5’s. There are 4 bulbs 54 Watts each. 2- 10,000K and 2-Actinic. Plus 4 moonlights. It comes with 3 separate cords for each lighting type. I am getting these for 100.00, I dont think I plan on having any corals in this tank but for the price I though I might as well get these lights since a shop light and bulb would not be much different.


So what do you guys think of my parts list so far, especially looking for opinions on the skimmer and the return pump.

Return pump is a little strong. Mag 12 would be a good option. Depends on what overflow(s) you have. Great skimmer for the$$$$. Lights are too wimpy for many corals but fine for FO. Might want to go with 2 smaller heaters in case one fails. I am partial to Titanium heaters. The best there is IMO. Lots a rock and good amount of sand. Great! Gonna run a sump?

Yeah, it is going to be a 70 gallon sump. Going to put some baffles in it so that I can turn it into a sump/refuigm. Still working on plans for that.

Does anyone else have an opinion on a brand of heater to use. I researched titanium a bit and a few people that I respect have had issues with them. They suggested a stealth but I don't know if I really like the stealth. So hoping that people out there would give me their opinions!!!
