| Identification What in the heck is growing on my glass, corals, etc. Not sure what it is? Post here and we'll see if we can figure it out! |

 What are the names of these Two corals in the pictures i have ..... there not fully expanded ......     and the 2nd one is ....  
__________________ 40 gallon Reef with a 20 gallon high sump- One Yellow Wrasse, 2 Chromis, Hermits, Snails, one Sand Sifting Tiger Starfish, one fighting conch, and Corals- one frogs spawn coral, one Green striped and purple mushroom rock, one orange mushroom frag, one hybrid mushroom rock, purple glove xenia, Tan xienia, 2 differnt types of green star polyps, Two Cynarina corals, , one Fox coarl, one button polyp rock , one yellow scroll coral, one Big Orange Montipora capricornis, one 2 mouthed Orange Ricordea Mushroom, Two Blue Maxima clams , One Red Scolly, One Big Yellow Trumpet Coral, and some yellow Zoas.  |

Your pictures are not clear enough to really be sure, the first one is very difficult to tell but I'm thinking it looks like an open brain or donut coral and second one appears to be a torch or possibly frogspawn- it could even be a hammer but the tentacle tips look to rounded, very difficult to tell because your pics are to fuzzy. Try google searching those corals I mentioned to find pictures on other websites so you can determine what looks like your corals. |

| Re: What are the names of these Two corals in the pictures i have ..... the 1st picture coral has a mushrooms stem and it has a pretty big mouth with short white tenticles around it and the coral is pretty big and the seecound coral i no is not a hammer

The second is branching frogspawn,hammer or anchor,any name you want to use,but is branching it is not a wall hammer.The second (hard to tell from pictures,get more megapixels)looks like it could be cyanthiria or some kind of brain.But cant tell from pics.

| Re: What are the names of these Two corals in the pictures i have ..... i think it could be a Cat’s Eye Cynarina Coral but i am not sure cause mine has a white mouth or hole in the middle with small white polyps around the mouth that look like teeth with a shade of green and red striped around it
