Default Are these Gulf of Mexico crabs safe?

My husband pulled our stonecrab traps yesterday and brought home some critters.

The first looks like an arrow crab with big pink pom poms on it. It is very cool looking but don't want to let it loose until I know for sure. I looked online and couldn't find a match.

The second looks like a porcelain crab but it's not. It has very fine orange stripes accross it's shell and when it swims it flips a bottom panel of its shell like a slipper lobster does.

He also found about a dozen baby peppermint shrimp less than an inch in the trap. I kept all the critters in a breeding boxes last night until I know whether to let them roam free in the tank.

Thanks for the identification.

Noel

I have been watching the critters and I would say that they second crab is a variety of porcelain crab. They have relaxed and now have their feeler hands out going thru the water.

The second crab is a sponge decorator crab. It's reef safe so it joined the tank. Very cool critter. It's like a mobile frag in the tank.

Happy Holidays.
