Default Hitchhiker on Frogspawn

Hello all-

This frogspawn was my first coral and i have had it for over a month now.

This white "thing" was half the size when i bought the FS, and now i am getting concerned. I am starting to see babies in a few places in my tank.

Its so huge i want to get tweezers and pluck it out?

Any ideas?

What you have is a Syconoid sponge. It is harmless and you can just pluck it off if you want. If you see too many of them in your tank it is usually a sign of excess nutrients.

I see a few of them every now and then in my sump and overflows. Usually in cryptic areas where there is little to no light exposure.
