Default Please help me identify these!

Hi, i recently bought a piece of live rock with a green mushroom coral on it, i have had it 4 days and i swear the mushrooms have doubled in size! I thought i spotted some red bubble algae so i took this piece of rock out of the tank to remove the algae and the green mushroom produced some white stringy stuff from the centre.
It eventually sucked it back in and the coral has shrunk a bit, is it ok or have i irritated it?

Also on the same bit of rock there is a clear fleshy tube about an inch long poking out of the rock, it has vertical red stripes on it as well, when i took the rock out i noticed a large mass of jelly type substance concealed further within the rock. If you touch the end it curls up inside its self a bit then slowly folds out again.
Can't find any info on this and want to know if it is safe to stay in the tank?

The mushroom may have been irritated, but it will be just fine. I wouldn't worry about it. Mushrooms to that often when irritated.

As for the other picture, I've seen that a few times, but I can't remember what it is. If you search through some pages on wetwebmedia.com, you may come across an identification for it.

It could be a type of sponge or tunicate.

If when disturbed it closes up quiklly it could be a tunicate.

If it just stays there and doesn't move it could be a type of sponge.

Anyways, it shouldn't be harmfull onless it was dying and polluting the water.

Well have checked out pics of the tunicate and it looks similar but not the same, wet web media also gave a suggestion and it doesn't appear to be the same as what they thought either. Most of the pics i have seen from what people think this thing is have 2 openings, this just has one.
