Default Red spots with nubs

Ok first off i know some of this should be corraline algae or i think neways....the question i really have is that on my coral and tonga branches i have small red spots on them that seem to extend away from the branch...like little nubs on them--hmm what is it...also how does this type of coral grow will i just start to see a new branch appear? I bought it being called a torch personally it reminds me a lot of frogspawn as well

Tough to get a good look at the red spots since the photos go blurry when you enlarge them. One of 2 things - either coralline or and IMO beginnings of cyano.
