| Yes clownfish are actually born without a sex, and if you have two togeather one will actually grow larger than the other this one will become the female, and the other will be the male. They can only change sex from male to female. Once they become a female they remain that. I found this information from a pet store that I use to deal with a lot in Charleston, South Carolina. Chris the manager there has alot of knollege and has been very helpful to me over the years. So if you want a male and female just pair up a large one with a small one. That is one of the reason that I started my tank with the first fish my kids call nemo! He looks just like him except for the small fin. This guys front fins are all black that is something I have not seen in an Ocellaris Clownfish. The website for this store is: Tideline Aquatics I subscribe to their newsletter. As an attachment I will enclose a copy of that newsletter talking about the sex of clownfis. |
