Identification What in the heck is growing on my glass, corals, etc. Not sure what it is? Post here and we'll see if we can figure it out!

not sure if im spelling this right but its chedomorpha or turf algea. I have only seen it growing on tonga rocks it grows really slow but is worth quiet a bit in the lfs. My lfs is sellin it for $30 and you get a 2"x2" cut of a pice they have growing in there 30 gal nano reef its also very rare so you have a good find. How did you get this turf algea??

Thanks so much Kevin! I knew this was good stuff, just didn't know it was rare. Actually, it must have come in on the rock or with something else. I never bought it, never even saw it for sale in lfs. Just started growing one day. I got that rock a year ago. Saw this growing on it about 4 months ago. Have a tiny patch starting on the other side of the same rock!

looks like Maidens hair to me. If you have a refugium put that rock in it and let the tiny crustaceans multiply and feed your tank.
