Default Worm thing?

Anyone know what the worms that look exactly like earthworms in a tank are called? I have like 3 or 4 that have come out of holes in the new rock I bought. They look just like earthworms only in a tank full of water- thanks

evilclay, I don't even bother removing bristleworms or have any need to remove any other kind of worm from the aquarium. Worms are good for the tank, they eat detritus. I think most things are good in moderation. PLUs, if you have 1 worm you have thousands of them! There are several organisms that will keep the populations in check so that you will not have to sweat it.

I echo what rlcline has to say - not all bristle worms are bad. They can stir up your sand. If you do try to remove them don't tear the worm into pieces & watch your fingers. They're called bristle worms for a reason.

Earthworm like? Does it look like this? If so get rid of them.

this is an eunicid as opposed to a bristle worm. BAD!
