Default Can Not Figure Out What This Is

Can anyone figure out what this object is?
With the naked eye it almost looks like a bug, but I have not seen it move as of yet as I just discovered it about a half hour ago.

I cropped one phot where you can see it pretty clear towards the lower left.

Also My Anemone has yet to open back up since the move last week. It used to be the home for the clowns but not now since it will not fully open.

Thanks

Not sure what it is. I'll watch it to see if it grows or moves.

Thanks

i think it looks like a small clam or something like that its hard to tell. I have little clams (at least i thing there clams) all over the live rock they grow very slow but the are open all the time filtering the water

It does look a little like a bivalve. If so, enjoy!

That would be nice. It still has not moved anywhere and still looks the same so maybe you are right.

That would be ok with me. He has had to have been in that rock for at least 1 year because the rock came from a tank of someone that recently moved from our complex here and I adopted the inhabitants (rock, corals, live sand, clowns and a dottie back)

They kept their salinity a little on the low side (1.022) and I have slowly raised it over the past 10 days to its present 1.025.

I think that is a good place to keep it...what do you think?

Thanks for all of your help identifying some of these things...you're all a great help.

I have a couple of hitchhiking bivalves. I don't think they like bright light. But they are neat, every once in awhile I see them close up.

Yepper .. I believe you guys are correct. It must be a bivalve because tonight when I shined my Mag-Lite on it and the beam hit it directly it closed up real fast.

Here are the pics I took of it and cropped.

Thanks for all of your help.

Thanks...feel free to borrow it anytime...I did!

You may not believe this, but I have some old pieces of dead coral that I have had as decorations in my guest bathroom for a couple of years. Well look what I found fosselized in one of them.

Looks a lot like what I have in my tank...don't ya think?

I was brushing my teeth and for some odd reason the shape of the object caught my eye and I thought..No Way!

It sure does look a lot like it though. Pretty cool!

Here is the coral I pulled it from.

So is that a BiValve?

Also.. my seabae anemone is looking better...I feel like an idiot because I had no idea that I needed to hand feed it real shrimp peices or silversides once in awhile.

The poor thing was starving! Is anemone abuse a jailable offense?

Please don't call the carps on me....I'll drop a sandollar in the box for jerrys squids next time me and my ladyfish go out to the Sand Bar for drinks....We go there often. She's a keeper, I'm glad I flounder!

Thanks for all the help you all provide to us.

Best site on the net!
