Default strange millipede type animal

Found this hanging out around my mushrooms. I believe I spotted another smaller one in the same area. Tried finding any info on, and the closest I came was a bristleworm. But couldn't match the coloring and it seems to have a bunch more legs. Here are a couple pics...

Bristleworm it is - you win the prize!! Be careful when grabbing those little devils by hand.

I got him with some tweezers. So is this thing bad? Do I need to get them out?
I tried to grab the other one and he disappeared into a hole in the rock...

Not necessarily bad. They will get into the sand & stir it up. They become a problem if they are the LARGE variety. Once they get to be 4, 5, 6 inches you don't want them hanging around. If you're taking them out with tweezers, don't rip them.

Will PETA be calling me if I do? Seriously...this will spread them like crazy or something like that? Or will he get really angry and "trash the hotel room"?

We'll definitely have to report you to PETA & the Bristle Worm Police will be knocking on your door!!! The part you leave behind will end up regenerating.

I have a Coral Banded Shrimp that eats those. There are a few natural predators out there, depending on the size of your tank and existing livestock!

They need to make a hybrid of Peppermint and Coral Banded that eat Aiptaisia and Bristleworms!
What are the bristleworms going to harm in particular?

I guess they wouldn't be able to hide in my 24g if they get big enough to eat fish. Suppose I'll just pull them out as I see them.

One chewed a small hole in my green star polyp...that worm was eaten by my CBS. Really most things are great in moderation. Bristleworms, like all worms are good for detritus and waste removal, you just don't need them overrunning the tank.
