| Is that a green star polyp coral? When I saw your mystery creature, I thought it looked like matting from the coral that is now growing on your glass. It appears lighter in color, but will turn reddish purple in time. That green star polyp pic gives it away from me. Matting grows like crazy. Might want to think about controlling it before it gets too out of control!

| It'll grow polyps. I have never had the nightmare of things growing on the glass and equipment. But I believe glampka has! I am guessing that if you cannot pull it off, you could use something with a sharp edge like a razor blade.

| Are you talking about the star polyps or the green looking bubble on top of the star polyps? If its the bubble, it looks like green bubble algae to me. If it is, yes you need to remove it carefully and not to break the bubble in your tank. Try sucking it off with a Turkey baster...gently. Good luck! |

| Doesn't look like bubble to me. GSP can & will spread like wild fire. You can take a blade & scrape it off the glass or you can slice through the mat where the rock meets the glass & just let it grow on the glass & move the rock to a different spot.
