| I have that as well. A quick fix is to stir the sand a bit to get the fresher sand on top so it looks white again. I start doing that multi-step water change in my tank and I am seeing less and less of the slime stuff as well as having the other bad stuff literally falling off. Someone also suggested to me to buy some Miracle mud and mix it into the sand. Haven't done that one yet though.
