| Identification What in the heck is growing on my glass, corals, etc. Not sure what it is? Post here and we'll see if we can figure it out! |

 no idea and cant find anything close to what this is... i know pics are needed and i will have them within 48 hours. i these things in my live rock and seem to be spreading. they are tanish in color with dark bands. fairly small under 1/2 in length. they resemble some brittle stars, but not exactly. they live in tiny holes in my rock and all you see are like little tentacles protruding, you never see a body just the arms sticking out and moving. again i will post pics really soon. hope i can get decent pics. mike  |

| Re: no idea and cant find anything close to what this is... ok so yeah i know this is sorta off topic but my lfs has two big medusa worms for sale... i think thats what they are, they are like a foot each, why would you want them??

| Re: no idea and cant find anything close to what this is... I think I know what you are talking about cuz I had the same thing a while ago. Not sure what it is, but it's definitely similar to arms of a baby brittle star. They were in my tank for a long time and I didn't notice anything horrible happening to the tank (except for things that I did  )

| Re: no idea and cant find anything close to what this is... ok i went to my LFS and they had some rocks with the same creature things i have. and it turns out that they are brittle stars. so i have like a dozen of them in my tank now. go figure! thanks everyone for your help/suggestions, i appreciate it! |
