Default parasite? worm? string thing/fireworms

I have a very odd looking worm or something in my tank. i have attached a picture but its very hard to get a pic of it.
it is clear with little brissles on it, sticks to the rocks and only comes out at night. I didnt worry about it before, but when i looked tonight there was atleast 100 on my LR, Corals and some on my hermit crab shells. they dont seem to bother the fish but I am worryed they could be something bad. does anyone have any ideas??? i have looked and looked to try to find what it is but cant find a thing. i tryed to take some out of the tank to get better pictures but they rip in half and smash whenever i try to pull them out.

In the pictures its the White string at the bottom of the green star coral. its the best picture i can get. i have tryed for awile. any help is good.

I also have alot of fire worms in my tank. any suggestions on getting rid of them, one of my LFS gave me a cup and told me to put shrimp in there and wait to catch one. but it takes days to catch one, and i just end up with 20 starfish. so anyone have any ideas???

bristleworms can be white. I have a coral banded shrimp that eats mine. Depending on your already existing livestock, you may also look into a sixline wrasse, an arrow crab or a neon dottyback.

Mine doesn't mess with the fish. Really, I don't think you are going to find any livestock that does not have the posibility of messing with other livestock.

ya, true. I have just hurd alot of stories about them growing very large and then eating the fish. I think i will go find an arrow crab, or a sixline, i know stores that sell both.
Thanks

Take some time to think about it. You can buy bag traps for the worms, as well. I like extra living and functional crap in my tank to look at, which is why I chose the shrimp.
