Default OK here are a few????

I know you folks like a challenge so I have a few for you.

This is the candy cane coral that was torn up by a large, now deceased, emerald crab. It was all healed and now it is showing the hole you see on the right hand side. Sometimes it looks like there is a string or worm coming out of the hole. Is this bad?

This is a weird one, and I can only get a picture in the early morning before the mushrooms open up. Once they do that this web, nest, whatever is covered by them. It is white and looks a lot like a spiders nest. I thought at one point I saw something moving inside the little pocket, but now nothing. There is a hole for something to go in and out. Any ideas on this one????

This branch LR has been in the tank for about 2 months. I noticed on some of the pieces that at the joints little white growths are starting to form. Is this live coral? Whatever it is what do I need to do for it??

Thanks for the help! You folks are great!

Kathy,

I'm not sure on the green trumpet/candy coral, I would suggest a coral dip in lugols solution though, if its a parasite or worm bothering the coral, the dip could help disinfect it.

I'm not positive on the 2'nd picture as its not that clear, but it really looks like a basic sponge to me, good filter feeder

3rd picture is way to hard to tell just yet

Thanks Keith,
I will go by the LFS on Sunday and get some of the dip. I didn't know that sponges came in a clear color, but that is good to know since I see it now on the rock next to it also. I really appreciate the help. How is yhour tank going?
