Default Worm Hitchhiker in LR

Attached is a photo of a worm that hitched in on my Fiji live rock. The photo is a little fuzzy, but if you look just above the edge of the white sand, you'll see the critter. He can retract all the way into the sand/rock. He slither out to nibble on the LR and crud that has blown of the LR while curing. Fully extended, I have seen 2-3 inches out in the open.

Any suggestions? Is he good or bad? If bad, how do I get rid of him without creating more just like him?

Thanks.

LL

No, it's not white and it's not stringy. For lack of a better descritpion it looks like a small banded earthworm. It is that brown thing with reddich-brown bands.

Look at the sand in the lower third of the photo. The worm is just above the top edge of the sand, running from left (under that vertical rock outcropping) toward the right where it is foraging on debris under the LR. At least 2" is exposed as it stretches out to munch.

It appears to graze of stuff that has floated off the LR as it is going through the curing stage. It looks like it's got little sucker-type teeth.

Still a mystery...

Does it have little bristles on it? Can't tell much from the picture. If so it is probably a bristle worm. You can leave it in there.

Thanks for the suggestions. No bristles. No jaws like the euchnid worm. It just looks like an earthworm with rings around its body. It hides in the rock until it starts to nibble on stuff on the aquarium bottom - stuff that has fallen or been blown from the LR. Has anybody heard of a peanut worm? Is that a possibility?

Try looking up Nemertean (Ribbon Worm). I think I have one also. Mine is lightly colored with dark stripes and it kinda "spits" out a proboscus of some type and scrapes my LR.

Just reporting back...whatever it was has not been seen again. It may have gone to that big wormhole in the sky...

Anyway, I have added a plethora of Turbo, nasarrius and Margarite snails plus hermit crabs to tidy up the rock and sand bed. Probably crab bait now whatever it was...
