Default Worm of some kind???

I've noticed multiple worms when my blue LEDs come on at night and they really are'nt noticing I'm watching and the best way I could descrip them is that they resemble a white pipe cleaner...I've seen them crawling on my xenia which I was not so mad about but when he started crawling on my ricordia it startled me somewhat...I've seen no apparent damage from the worms but was hoping everyone here would have an answer!

Probably bristle worms. They're not a problem unless they start attacking your corals. You'll hear pros & cons on them. If you elect to take them out get yourself a trap rather than trying to catch them by hand. They didn't get the name bristle for nothing.

Thanks glampka, I have not seemed to have a problem with them eating the corals yet but I have not had that much in the tank yet so I guess we'll see. I just figured I'd rather be safe than sorry when it comes to saving my starting/expensive reef....

Look into livestock to control the population. I have a coral banded shrimp in one tank and will be releasing the sixline wrasse into the other. Some use arrow crabs and neon dottybacks...

Bandit shrimp: comes with little plastic gun superglued to claw, wears a little scarf tied around its face and cowboy hat.
