Default white thread-like roots growing out of LR

I have little groups of white branched out root looking things growing out of the LR in my nano. They almost look like up side down plants...like the plant is inside the LR and the roots are growing and hanging out. They do not respond to the touch and are pretty stiff at thier base. They branch out all over but are only about 1/2" to 3/4" long in their entirety.

Any thoughts would be appreciated. I keep web searching but can not find a photo that looks like these do.

I would include a photo but apparently I do not have the fancy digital camera that some of you do because it just looks like a white blob when I blow it up.

u sure they arent just featherduster tubes?? are they kinda like raised white colored veins running along the outside of the rock with an open end?? if so, they could be featherdusters(worms really) that are either dead or maybe havent decided to come out and spread their feather ends to grab food. i am no expert though.

No. I have featherduster and various white calcium based tubes growing too. These are not symetrical like feather dusters or tube worms with that circular pattern. The stems branch out randomly like the pattern of tree branches or roots. They are thicker at the base.
