Identification What in the heck is growing on my glass, corals, etc. Not sure what it is? Post here and we'll see if we can figure it out!

Hey dudes...I have dozens of these red little things all over my LR. I noticed they are spreading and some are turning black. I wanted to know if anyone knows what they are. In the picture its to the left behind the frogspawn...

Is it a different form of it? Its more maroon and speckled. I have several rocks that have coraline on it and its purple...

If its a barnacle it would already be dead.Most dont survive the trip to your tank.And even if they do they wont live but a few days.I dont see anything unusual in the pic.

I will take another picture. There are black ones just like the red ones and they are spreading like crazy. Ill post another pic.

Just what Jv said looks like coraline algae I have that same looking stuff all over my LR..

my rocks covered in that stuff, nice bright red, then turns black

I have the same thing in my tank, just coraline algae...good stuff! P.S I have had my barnacle in my tank since I put my tank together, still alive and kicking...just over 3 months old now...
