Default Snail or what??

I thought one of my snails had a baby but I have been told that's probably not what it is...it is bigger than my margarita snails and when fully extended as large as a turbo. What is it?sluggy.jpg

Some type of mollusk. I've had a couple that looked like that in my tank in the past and they never caused any problems.

Will it multiply out of control since it just appeared out of nowhere?

I've seen it get high up on a rock and shot misty stuff in the air...any idea what it's doing?

Great picture! I have two of those that came in on my live rock. One is about that size and the other very small. Every time I find the big one, he moves pretty quickly to the back of the rock. I wondered if a fish would eat them?

That's crazy!! I bought a bag of live plants today to throw in my reef for the fish to eat and there was one of these in the bag.. I was going to try to take a pic but this one is prob. better than i could have gotten anyway. Very curious to what this is?? it has little white spins sticking up of the shell right?? otherwise looks like some type of snail.

I have several of these. They are a Abalone species. Excellent snails. Congrats. They are great for algea eating and their mouth has a rasp to it to help remove algea completely.

I seen that when it was on the glass. I havent seen it since but that just gives me a reason to get the flashlight out and serch the shadows of the tank.

Yeah that's what I was thinking...I figured if it was using the restroom it would probably be less obvious and not need to be so high just for that, thanks.
