Default Have you seen me?

Ok so these creatures have recently appeared and very in size from an ant to the size of a small hermit crab. They look like a shrimp or lobster of some kind with no color. Can someone please tell me what they are?

The pic is pretty small, but it is probably either a copod or amphipod. Either one is a good thing. Use a flashlight at night and you may see hundreds of them.

I would say that it looks like a copod or amphipod. Just like Brian said good thing for the tank.

Yep I have those as well and they can get pretty decently sized. They are pods and they are good for the tank. They are part of the food chain. Some fish will eat them, some shrimp will eat them. They are good in a reef system and in fact you will want to have some in your refugium so they can keep their populations up and going.

Great! I thought I was infested with the oceans version of the roach. Yes I have seen 1 that was as big as a hermit with quite a few small ones running around.

So if I want to keep their numbers in check I should get a cleaner shrimp?
What about a sally-light foot, will they eat them?
