| Identification What in the heck is growing on my glass, corals, etc. Not sure what it is? Post here and we'll see if we can figure it out! |

 ok yet another odd creature? Growth...photos this time Hi everyone, Ok glass anemones, white flat worms (appear to be gone), and aspastia are all ID'ed and I am dealing with them. I am not sure about this thing. There appear to be 10-20 of these things on various parts of live rock in the tank. The tank has cycled and I just did a 50% water change yesterday. the levels on the water have been perfect, but I have no idea if this is a bad thing a good thing or what it even is they are maybe 1/4 inch long/tall and maybe 1/8-1/16 wide though one pict shows a fatter than average one. | Re: ok yet another odd creature? Growth...photos this time calcareous sponge. Harmless. They will come and go depending on the nutrients in your water. Make sure you clean your equipment clean, they will sprout anywhere!

| Re: ok yet another odd creature? Growth...photos this time Ok, well Rlcline called them calcareous sponges, and I could not fund too much on them and seen pictures that looked different. You call them Sycon, and I did find more info and this is what they are. They seem to just be little live water filters from what I have read. Thanks all.
