Default new red spot

I hoping this is a new color coraline algae it's the red spot on the picture.Let me know what you think. (please dont say it's red slime) I have purple, green, lavender, turquoise and white coraline and would love you to say I now have red. But give it to me strate I will live through it. And would rather get on it quick if it is bad.

It may be red slime and it may be coralline. If you reach into the tank and try to wipe it off the rock and it wipes off, it is red slime. If it is hard, it is coralline.

If it is red slime, it happens. I would rather have that little speck to deal with than to have it engulf my rock! If it is, check your water parameters, do a couple of water changes...maybe clean your equipment. RyanG has a decent sticky for it around here. Check New to the Hobby forum.

Thanks you both. I's red slime or was I used a turky baster and sucked it off. Like it said in the the post you sent me to. My water is good but that spot dont get much flow. I'm going to go out Tomorrow and get a squid that should fix the flow problem I hope. If not I will set up a closed loop system and get it. I have been wanting a spray bar anyway. I just hate to move my rocks. You can never get them back the same.
