That one looks like a smail. if it is not a shell on it's back the I'm gessing slug. photo is kind of blurry . On your other post. I'm gessing the the green one is some kind of alga. the last one I dont see any mushrooms. zooming in 400 times I did see what looks like red tree alga not shure what the white stuf is and the thing withall the holes let me know if you ever find out I have one like it on a clam shell. I'm gessing some kind of dead coral. the one I have has not changed in the 4 1/2 months my tank has been runing. I'm a long way from a reef expert infact newbe is the right word for me. Good luck and have fun with your tank.

I know this one! It is a nocturnal algae eating mollusk, the name of which escapes me at the moment.

Not sure what's going on here--I have replied to this thread three times and it never seems to go through. Here's my fourth attempt:

And that solves this mystery! For anybody reading who would like a little more information now that we have identified the little sucker...here's what I found:

"Stomatella Snails (Stomatella varia) – This snail is typically not purchased yet a very common and very prolific hitch hiker. The Stomatella is fast moving compared to other snails and has only a very small shell in comparison to others. Almost any reefer that has purchased an amount of liverock and gazed at their tank at night has noted an abundance of Stomatella Snails that they have never seen before, as this is a nocturnal herbivore. Due to their rapid reproduction, some people consider there a nuisance and they can be but fear not, there are many other reefers that would love to have a few if your willing to catch them and take them to local club meetings."

Thanks for your wisdom, guys.

BTW, Edward, we are practically neighbors I just realized. I'm in St. Pete.

Nobody has given me their ideas on how to catch this large bristleworm or fireworm. I have tried taking the rock out of the tank for an hour or so and spritzed it with tank water so I don't lose my mushrooms and he won't come out. He is smart. What about taking the rock out and sticking it in ro water and losing the mushrooms? I need to hire a hitman. I just think it's way too big for a 6 line wrasse to handle.
