My guess would be a dead sponge. But I'm new also and have no real knowledge.

It is soft and like a jelly type consistancy. It has a few white dots inside of it. And I would say it is some what opac. It is kind of slimmy I guess you could say.

Was on another sight and was told this could be a black encrusting sponge and I should get rid of it ASAP.
