Default teeny tiny white things

I have these teeny tiny white things moving on the inside of my tank. I tried to get a picture of them but I can't get it in focus. I would say they are about an 1/16th inch in length I thought maybe a flat worm but they move pretty quickly. Some have purple/pinkish looking "tails". Looking at them you mmight be able to discribe them as something that looks like sperm. That is the best discription I could give. And there are hundreds of them.

I noticed the same little creatures in my tank a couple days ago, anyone have a clue what they are? They are way too small to take a pic of.

Thanks, but that site really doesnt help me because these things are not large enough for me to see anything about them other than they have some sort of appendage coming out, and that they are white. Does anyone else have any info as to what these could be?

Sounds like amphipods... great food for some fish like the mandarines.

Another site with more pictures.
Amphipods by Ronald L. Shimek, Ph.D. - Reefkeeping.com
If indeed they are amphipods that you have, and you want to control the population of these critters, you could get a choc. chip star (pictured in my avatar) which ate all the "teeny tiny white things" crawling on my glass.
