| Identification What in the heck is growing on my glass, corals, etc. Not sure what it is? Post here and we'll see if we can figure it out! |

 green grass like algae/brown stuff growing I started my tank 1 week ago and now I have green grass like algae growing in patches. I also have some kind of brown stuff growing on what used to be white rock. Are these both normal or do I need to get rid of them?  |

| Re: green grass like algae/brown stuff growing They are both normal for a new tank going through the cycling process. Have you started doing any water testing yet? Your test results will tell us if your cycle is near its end. |
